Special Events

This event has always been a hugely positive experience for both the students and the school community. It aims to foster skill development in music and provide students with a real-life 'live performance' opportunity, as well as the chance to see other student bands play.

Old is Gold is a soulful event organised annually by GDGPS, Siliguri. The audience witnesses an evening of enchanted performances reminiscing the golden bygone days. The students enthrall the audience with a melange of immortal songs and dances from old Hindi movies.

Putting the extra in Ordinary — the Adventure Camp challenges students beyond the classroom, building resilience, teamwork, and self-discovery through outdoor activities and experiences.

One of the most pertinent expressions of the self is through a leadership opportunity. Empowering young persons and giving them a chance to lead prepares them to face real life in the future. The Students' School Council is formed at all levels from Pre-Primary to Sr. Secondary, with student leaders designated at every vertical of educational administration.

SHINE — THE WHOLE UNIVERSE IS YOURS. In every end there lies a beginning. The Farewell Ceremony for the Graduating Classes of Std-XII is a tapestry woven out of happy and sad instances. Amongst Parents and Teachers, the young Graduates remember with fondness, gratitude, and nostalgia the days of their school life now ending.

THIS LITTLE GUIDING LIGHT OF MINE — I'M GOING TO LET IT SHINE. In an environment alive with mixed emotions of hope, excitement, nostalgia and anticipation, the Blessings Ceremony invokes the Grace of the Almighty upon our examinees at the Std-X Board Examinations.

A felicitation ceremony organised for students of Std-X & Std-XII who have brought laurels to the school with their excellent performance in the CBSE Board Exams. The outstanding results are a natural outcome of the sincere efforts of students, mentors and the entire GDGPS family.

The Scholastic & Co-Scholastic Awards recognise academic excellence and achievement in sports and culture. These awards benchmark standards in scholastic and co-scholastic verticals while raising the bar for each incoming batch — decided on strict criteria based on a continuous system of evaluation and objective parameters.

On 16th December 2017, legendary cricket captain Sourav Ganguly visited the School, marking one operational year of the Sourav Ganguly School Cricket Set-Up. Mr Ganguly delivered an inspiring speech addressing trainees and Parents, and spent quality time with trainees sharing technical nuances.
